Donetsk National Medical University
(DNMU) is ranked first among all Ukrainian medical universities since 2001 till
2011 according to the rating of Ministry of Health of Ukraine and Ministry of
Education of Ukraine.The Donetsk National Medical University (DNMU) is one of
the largest and best medical university of Ukraine. It was founded in 1930 as
the Stalino Medical Institute. At present, over 920 teachers work at the 77
departments of the Donetsk National Medical University (DNMU). Among them,150
professors and 236 Associate Professors,academic title of doctors and candidate
of medical sciences are respectively 110 and 445 people.In the Donetsk National

University of the IV level of accreditation has greatly contributed to the
development of Ukraine's higher educational system, medical science and health
services.
More than 40,000 experts including over
5,000 students from 89 foreign countries of Asia, Africa, Europe and America
have graduated from the University since the year of its establishment (1930)
and become well-known researchers, health service organizers working in Ukraine
and overseas.

Since 1973, the Donetsk National Medical University (DNMU) has been training medical
personnel for countries of the Eastern Europe, China and Mongolia, and since
1976 it has been training students from other countries of Asia, Africa and Latin
America. At present, there are about 1024 foreign students in the Donetsk National Medical University (DNMU) who study at the Preparatory
Department, Medical and Dental Faculties, undergo postgraduate and clinical
post-graduate (residency) courses as well as professional probation at
departments of the University in stomatology (dentistry), therapy, orthopaedics
and traumatology, oncology, urology, psychiatry, ophthalmology, surgery,
obstetrics and gynaecology, as well as other medical specialities.

America, Middle East countries. Among them there are 3 Doctors and 70
Candidates of Medical S cience, about 200 clinical post-graduates (residents).
